    Job Description and Duties

    Under the supervision of a Tax Program Supervisor in the Business Entities Section, the Tax Program Assistant performs a variety of support functions within the Exempts Organization Support Unit. In support of professional and clerical exempt staff, the incumbent prepares documents for scanning, sorts and sends letters, and distributes correspondence to the unit. In addition, the Tax Program Assistant inputs forms 3500 and 3500A into Professional Audit Support System (PASS), updates the PASS inventory database, researches Business Entities Tax System (BETS) accounts, and updates nonfinancial information within specified guidelines.

    This position requires 3 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need.
