Position Summary:
Responsible for conducting a variety of tests on patients of all ages in compliance with regulations. Tasks include producing accurate test results in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology across all Conemaugh Health System locations as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry, physics, or biology. Completed an NAACLS approved laboratory training program or qualify under specific routes of the ACSP Board of Certification. At least one year of experience as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ACSP) in a clinical setting. Must be registered as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology or eligible to sit for the MLS certification exam. Required to pass certification exam within one year of starting employment. Potential for travel to other campuses within Conemaugh Health System, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred: Two years of experience as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ACSP) in a clinical environment.
