    Our Client is looking for a customer-focused team player working on-site in a mission-oriented environment.

    The candidate must be a self-starter, possess good communication skills, and be willing to interface with multiple teams throughout the design process.


    We are currently seeking Information Assurance Hardware Design Engineers with emphasis on FPGA architecture, design, development and verification for cryptographic products.

    Thehardware design engineer will work closely with software and system engineers toconceptualize, document, design, code, verify and lab-debug ASIC, FPGA and embeddedfirmware designs for cryptographic products.

    The ideal candidate will be adaptable, motivated, customer oriented, able to lead a small team and willing to mentor others while learning new technologies.


    Qualifications:

    • Must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
    • Assist with designing new products and processes and improving and maintainingexisting products
    • Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated designand assure project completion
    • Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies to assist in the developmentprocess by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be manufactured, and reliable
    • Apply FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physicalimplementations of designs
    • Design new products and processes
    • Improve and maintaining existing products
    • Lead the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existingproducts
    • Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
    • Perform Security Verification Testing and Certification to meet Type I Information
    Assurance Certification standards

    • Produce security evaluation documentation to support new ASIC and FPGA designs
    • Review Very High Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language(VHDL) code and provide security recommendations
    • Perform Security Verification Testing and Certification to meet Type I InformationAssurance Certification standards
    Evaluate, review, and test security codeOther Highly Desirable Experience:

    • Development of NSA TYPE 1 security products using NSA IA security practices
    • Experience with VHDL, C/C++, Bash, Verilog, Tcl/TK, Mentor Graphics, GitLab
    • Experience with FPGA design using Xilinx's Vivado, Microblaze Design Suite, PartialReconfiguration, Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), and High Speed Serdes(HSS)
    • Cryptographic algorithm development
    • NSA Type-1 SV testing
    • Python scripting

    Education/Experience:
    Mid-Career: Seven (7) years of experience as a hardware design engineer is required. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


    Senior:
    Twelve (12) years of experience as hardware design engineer is required. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
