    Our Development Group is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer, to join our hardware design team.

    The group is embarking on an exciting period in our growth and is looking for innovative team players with a 'make-it-happen' attitude.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new products from concept to production. Managing the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of designs and strategies for products, systems, features, or enhancements.


    What you will be doing:
    Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of electricity and materialsConfirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods, testing propertiesDevelops electrical products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materialsAssures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilitiesPrepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsProvides engineering information by answering questions and requestsMaintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulationsCompletes projects by training and guiding techniciansMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAct as a liaison to other engineering functions and other departments (Operations, Sales and Marketing, Product Support)

    Prepare reports on team/project progressCoordinate design reviews and other development reviews as necessaryManage field and production issues and drive resolution of problemsMinimal travel may be requiredWhat you need to be successful in this role:
    B.S.

    in an Electrical Engineering, Masters preferredMinimum 5 years of general hardware development and test experienceMinimum 5 years working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies5+ years of experience with embedded systems design and embedded software applications5+ years of experience with designing or developing electro-mechanical devices, FPGA design and Power Supply design2+ years of experience with FCC, NEMA, CE or similar approvalsVideo transmission, encoding, decoding, streaming - analog and digitalStandard concepts, practices, and procedures within the product development field.
