    JOB SUMMARY:


    The HR Coordinator is the day-to-day point person for questions, requests, and document creation related to compensation, benefits, corrective performance; recognition, and morale; health and safety; and training and development, etc.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

    Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

    Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors/managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    Prepare personnel correspondence including disciplinary letters, employee loan letters, and employment verifications
    Create and maintain employee electronic files
    Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

    Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    Assist in HR mailings, scans, uploads, etc.

    Manage and update HR databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, transfers, leaves of absences, disciplinary actions, etc.

    Updating HRIS system with employee information changes such as job title changes, exemptions, deductions, benefit enrollments, EIN transfers, terminations, etc.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    Effective interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, listening, coaching, delegation, and conflict management and resolution.
    Must be highly dependable, focused, organized and detail-oriented possessing excellent time management and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
    Intermediate skills with MS Office, G Suite, Adobe PDF and HRIS systems
    Ability to multitask and is adaptable to change
    Associates degree
    At least 1 year of Human Resources experience, sufficient to demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration and working knowledge of employment law including applicable State and Federal labor law requirements and regulations
    Sensitive to confidential information and ability to keep personnel issues and information confidential
    Ability to be objective across all protected classes and demographics
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Work is performed in an office environment and in close proximity to other workers.
    Regular and consistent in-person/onsite attendance and the ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week
    High level of manual dexterity to adeptly type and use computer equipment
    Employee shall be exposed to those conditions normally encountered in an office environment.
    Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer,
    Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 20 pounds
