    General Description:

    Under general supervision provides preventative and health care to an assigned group of patients or clients in an *** facility.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    Administers medications safely under direction of physician or other medical personnel.
    Observes, records, and reports patient s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
    Provide care according to an established nursing plan.
    Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
    Ensures patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forwarding charts as appropriate.
    Communicates systematic report to other care providers.
    Assisting in the coordination of care delivery; utilizes resources to promote the continuum of care.
    Employs strategies to promote health in a safe environment.
    Documents progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
    Uses quality and evidence based practice to deliver and improve care.
    Works closely with more experienced clinicians for guidance and supervision.
    Triage telephone calls for referral to other clinical team members.


    General Responsibilities:
    Performs other duties as assigned.


    Experience:
    None required. One or more years of experience preferred.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
    Ability to organize, coordinate, plan and evaluate nursing needs of assigned patients.
    Must be knowledgeable about operating room techniques if applying for a surgery position.
    Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
