    We have an immediate opening for a full-time, pediatric occupational therapist who is enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, resourceful, and motivated.

    *Responsibilities:


    • Completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, medical reviews, appeal processes and progress reports
    • Complete new patient intakes and parental interviews for therapy
    • Conduct evaluations to identify client's needs
    • Utilize goals and objectives to develop and implement treatment plans; adjust plans as needed
    • Provide 1:1 therapeutic intervention and group instruction based on client needs
    • Educate family/caregivers on disorders, treatments, interventions, and at-home practices
    • Collaborate with other clinicians and the child's physician and/or school when needed
    • Participate in weekly individual and multidisciplinary case-based group mentoring
    • Maintain OT equipment, and conduct staff training and safety checks for equipment use
    *Qualifications:
    • OTR/L (required) or OTD
    • Current license from the State of Illinois in Occupational Therapy (required)
    • Sensory processing disorders experience, preferred
    • Strong knowledge of child development (specifically birth to 18 years), preferred
    • Experience with and passion for working with children, preferred
    • Personable, playful, positive, and patient with the ability to effectively build rapport with children and families
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced role
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
    • Must be willing to be fingerprinted and pass a background check
    • Must be dog-friendly - we have therapy dogs in the office

    *Physical Requirements

    • Periods of extensive standing (up to 2 hours at times), walking, and running.
    • Navigating uneven surfaces.
    • Requires lifting lbs), positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
    • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
    *Ability to commute/relocate:
    • Rolling Meadows, IL 60008: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

    $69, $85,000.00 per year
