    DESCRIPTION

    The Senior Accountant will direct activities related to the month-end close process, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be expected to lead and manage special projects on an ad-hoc basis.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
    • Ability to lead and manage processes and tasks in the achievement of department and company goals. This includes demonstration of project leadership skills as well as, the ability to directly lead others.
    • Reviews, monitors, records and processes a variety of fiscal transactions.
    • Files and maintains financial records including contracts and lease agreements.
    • Reviews accounts payable transactions for accurate documentation and processes payments.
    • Assists in the preparation, monitoring and distribution of budgets and financial reports pertaining to revenue, expense and other financial operations.
    • Responds to accounting, finance and payroll related inquiries and contributes to overall resolution of issues.
    • Ability to meet payment processing and transaction recording deadlines through prioritization of work and strong organization/time management skills.
    • Effectively communicates and interacts with suppliers, customers, peers and leadership on a daily basis.
    • Ability to maintain upmost confidentiality of sensitive information.

    Experience and Knowledge
    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting required.
    • 3-5 years' experience in fast paced accounting/finance function assisting with various accounting tasks preferred.
    • Current or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license preferred.
    • Working knowledge of accounting and finance topics and processes.
    • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and occasionally longer based on deadlines and/or need.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office with strong Excel skills.
    • Ability to lift to 10 pounds frequently, 50 on occasion.
