Blue Mountain Hospital, located in Blanding, Utah is seeking a full time Business Office Specialist/Registration Clerk.
The Business Office Specialist /Registration Clerk is responsible for performing a full range of financial, registration and administrative support duties associated with patient admission and registration. Patient advocacy, public relations, phone etiquette and customer service are vital components of the position. Confidentiality is a requirement of employment at Blue Mountain Hospital.
The Business Office Specialist/Registration Clerk will be responsible for assisting business office staff with Patient Account Management and Health Information Management. This includes, but not limited to, scanning and data entry, basic billing and self-pay.
To be considered a candidate for this position, you must be dependable, have outstanding people skills, be computer literate, able to learn and operate the phone system, possess organizational skills, be detail oriented, and able to multi-task. The successful candidate must be able to follow directions, be a team player and work well with others.
Basic medical knowledge preferred.
Experience with insurance verification/authorization preferred.
Experience with charting and paperwork maintenance a plus.
Knowledge of Contract Health Services a plus.
