    About the Role

    Fenwick is seeking a Client Accounting Specialist to manage the financial aspects of assigned partners' portfolios, ensuring compliance with departmental standards. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and can be based in any US office location.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Client and Matter Setup: Review client and matter setup to ensure adherence to engagement letters and billing guidelines.
    • Billing Maintenance: Maintain documentation of non-standard billing requirements and update client and matter billing instructions in Aderant.
    • Work-in-Progress Monitoring: Monitor work-in-progress to ensure timely billing per approved agreements and schedules.
    • Prewriting and Distribution: Produce, review, and distribute prebills on a monthly basis for attorney review.
    • Billing Functions: Perform various billing functions, including edits, write-downs, transfers, and discounts.

    Desired Skills & Qualifications

    • Ability to handle complex accounts with limited assistance.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with attorneys, staff professionals, and clients.

    Reporting and Teamwork

    The ideal candidate will report to the Client Accounting Manager and have 5+ years of legal billing experience with automated billing systems and an understanding of standard billing requirements in the legal industry.
