    Description
    Duties * Serves as the executive administrative specialist to the Garrison Command Office.

    * Assists in making all necessary arrangements of travel for the Garrison Command Group, arranging schedules of visits, making all transportation and hotel reservations.

    * Maintains the Garrison staff action tracker and processing repository to monitor staffing actions to implement the Command Groups prioritization.

    * Reviews incoming correspondence, publications, regulations and directives.

    * Evaluates several different and unrelated work processes and advises management on the most efficient process to use concerning internal administrative operations.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    * Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

    * Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

For GS-09:Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes :Participating in the overall management the daily operations for an organization; assisting in providing oversight and quality control for action, approval, and guidance concerning production of policy for an organization; developing and reviewing presentations/briefings for higher level authorities and serving as the primary coordinator in the planning and execution of visits by distinguished visitors for an organization

    OR Education:
    Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the wo rk of the position, such as Accounting, Finance Statistics or Economics

    OR Combination of Education and Experience:

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

    Add the two percentages.

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    • Workforce Planning Time in

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07)

    If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
