This position is responsible for greeting and serving guests in a friendly, professional and pleasant manner. This position will provide bartenders for the Iberian Lounge, Banquet Bars, Jazz on the Veranda, Poolside, and other hotel functions.

**Job Functions:**

Conducting monthly inventory processes

Knowing the proper preparation of all alcoholic drinks which are on the menu

Operating the point of sale system and register

Prepare cocktails for guests and servers according to standard recipe

Maintain assigned bank, process all payment methods, complete necessary cashier reports, resolve discrepancies and complete all opening/closing paperwork

Receiving and storing beverage products in a proper and orderly manner, to include transporting off site

Ensuring that glassware and bar utensils are washed, while adhering to safety standards, and presentable before they are used

Completing all side work as set forth in the operating standards

Completing all opening and closing responsibilities

Ensuring the bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard

Assisting in the training of other staff

Assessing customers needs and preferences and making recommendations

Knowledge of and adhering to service standards

Service/dispense alcohol in line with established PLCB regulations

Developing and making recommendations for seasonal cocktail lists

Completing other duties as assigned

**Basic Qualifications:**

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Minimum of 2 years of experience tending bar with adequate knowledge of beer, wine and spirits

Must have a valid Drivers License as a condition of continued employment

**Additional Qualifications:**

Must be able to pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within probation period.

**Working Conditions:**

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and be able to stand for duration of shift.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, between 8:00 am and 3:00 am, depending on operational needs.

Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.

This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require flexibility with regards to shift, weekend hours and holidays.
