    Therapy Tech - Physical Therapy Part Time DaysWe are looking for top skilled Therapy Techs to join our Texas Health family

    Texas Health Bedford Therapy Center State Hwy 121, Bedford, TX 76021 Work hours: Part Time, 24 hours weekly, Monday- Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-11am (hour lunch Mon-Thurs)Physical Therapy Department Highlights:

    Here's What You Need:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 1 year of rehab tech experience preferred
    • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
    • Ability to communicate and respond verbally and in writing to or for patients, family members and staff members
    • Good communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • A strong sense of ethics

    • Time management

    Technology knowledgeWhat You Will Do:

    • Patient Care SupportPrepares patient for treatment using appropriate draping and positioningTransports patients to and from treatments using good body mechanics and stretcher/wheelchair safetyPrepares, cleans and organizes whirlpools, wound care supplies and pulse lavage treatments using universal precautions and correct techniqueAssists with functional mobility training, gait training, exercise programs and ADL training as specified by therapistAssists therapist in set up of all equipment necessary to perform assessments and treatmentsCommunicates changes in patient's condition to therapist and nursing staffAssist with use of modalities including ultrasound, e stim, paraffin, fluidotherapy, heat and cold
    • Clerical/Other SupportAssists with the entry of patient chargesReviews patient data and charts as requestedOrganizes and maintains patient chartsUtilizes computer for messaging and necessary patient informationAssists with scheduling and phone dutiesAssists with data collection as requested
    • Department MaintenanceCleans and maintains equipmentDocuments the cleaning and maintenance of equipmentSecures medication from pharmacy for patient treatmentCompletes safety, stocking and inventory recordsMaintains a neat environment
    • AccountabilityMaintains, documents and communicates current CPR and education requirements and obtains all training and education required by the system, hospital and departmentAdditional perks of being a Texas Health employee:
