    Lucas Systems is currently seeking a Business Development Representative, a key part of our sales and marketing organization. We are looking for an aggressive self-starter who can balance multiple tasks, including: account research and prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and long-term relationship development while working closely with Senior Account Managers and Marketing Communications. The primary responsibility for this role is outbound sales prospecting, so we are looking for an individual with prior telephone sales experience who can overcome objections, identify decision-makers, and confidently call mid-level and senior executives to qualify their needs and fit for our solutions. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, as is the drive to learn and develop expertise in our domain. Lucas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and we need a candidate that brings high energy, curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency to the position.

    The right individual will learn our business and develop their sales skills by working with a team of seasoned solutions sales executives.

    Position Description

    · Prospecting and lead generation via outbound phone, email, and social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter) for business

    · Conduct target account research via the web and various other online resources

    · Lead follow up from marketing activities, including trade shows, web inquiries, etc.

    · Nurture and develop relationships with prospects

    · Document activities and manage prospect lists in

    · Work with Senior Account Managers and solution engineers to move leads through the sales process

    · Participate in prospect meetings and sales calls

    · Attend trade shows and other industry events (2-3 per year)

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications

    · Prior telephone sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business technology environment

    · Excellent phone skills - must be comfortable making cold calls and engaging with mid-level and senior business executives

    · Comfortable leveraging social media (LinkedIn and Twitter) for business

    · Strong online research and written communication skills

    · Experience using MS Office tools and CRM software is a must, experience with is preferred

    · Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua) is a plus

    · Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing and/or Communications (significant and relevant work experience coupled with a differing degree will also be considered)

    · Prior experience in, and familiarity with, the supply chain industry is a plus
