Holds appropriate Maine Department of Education/State Certification

Description:

Maintain current knowledge and understanding of theory, methods, techniques, and strategies within the field of social work.
Conduct psychosocial evaluations.
Develop appropriate treatment plans.
Contribute at student meetings and staff/family meetings as necessary.
Act as liaison for teachers, families and administration as necessary.
Facilitate, directly or indirectly, contacts of families and other community-based agencies as necessary.
Participate in the development of risk assessments and behavior management plans. Assist in implementing behavior management plans and participate in student crisis management as necessary.
Assure appropriate measures are taken to preserve the confidentiality of students and their families.
