We're working with a mission-focused defense and intelligence solutions leader on this exciting opportunity.

Own the Product Requirements Document (PRD) lifecycle for mission-critical defense and partner programs — turn operational intent into airtight, executable requirements. Use DOORS, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Markdown, Word, and Visio to capture, decompose, and manage requirements that enable no-fail missions. If you thrive on systems thinking, requirements rigor, and extreme ownership, this role puts you at the center of delivery.

The Role

Lead authorship and lifecycle management of PRDs and equivalent requirements artifacts for complex DoW/mission partner programs, ensuring documents are clear, traceable, and testable.
Translate stakeholder input (operators, PMs, engineers, government sponsors) into structured requirements and acceptance criteria using requirements tools like DOORS and Confluence.
Decompose high-level operational needs into system, software, and interface-level requirements; create diagrams in Visio and maintain version control with Git and JIRA.
Apply systems engineering, traceability, and requirements management practices to remove ambiguity, mitigate execution risk, and keep programs on schedule and on-cost.
Mentor or guide junior writers/contributors, evolve PRD templates and standards, and serve as the single-source-of-truth authority for program requirements.

What You'll Need

8+ years writing/editing/managing requirements-based or technical documentation for complex technical or operational programs (or 10+ years in lieu of a degree); Bachelor's degree preferred.
Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI is a plus and experience supporting DoW, USSOCOM, ISR, or intelligence programs preferred.
Hands-on experience with requirements and collaboration tools: DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Git, Markdown, Microsoft Word/Excel/Visio.
Demonstrated systems engineering mindset, requirements decomposition, acceptance criteria definition, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
Comfortable working independently with minimal direction in high-accountability, fast-moving environments; decisive, detail-driven, and mission-focused.
