    About the Role:

    As the public relations manager at LiveSwitch, you will play a key role in shaping and upholding the company's public image. Your duties will involve nurturing media relationships, securing impactful media placements to enhance brand visibility, and orchestrating strategic PR campaigns. This presents a fantastic entry-level opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with limited experience.

    The individual in this role will also act as a publicist for our chairman, entrepreneur Brian Hamilton, renowned for founding Sageworks (now Abrigo) and Inmates to Entrepreneurs, as well as appearing on Free Enterprise on ABC. A strong advocate for small businesses, Hamilton's work has been featured in prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fortune Magazine, and U.S. News, and he has been interviewed by major networks like Good Morning America, CNBC, Fox Business, and MSNBC.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a creative mindset.

    Responsibilities:

    • Media relations - Develop and maintain strong ties with national, local, and trade media outlets and journalists. Pitch engaging story concepts to secure media coverage in top-tier publications, online platforms, and broadcast channels.
    • Community engagement - Establish relationships with local and national organizations. Coordinate and oversee speaking engagements.
    • Content creation - Produce and refine compelling content for various platforms, including social media and websites.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with a solid academic background (minimum GPA of 3.7)
    • 0-5 years of relevant work experience (including internships)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to meet and surpass individual goals, such as daily outreach targets and monthly media placements
    • Proven leadership experience
    • Capable of working autonomously
    • Previous success in securing media coverage and familiarity with startup environments are advantageous

    This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (remote and in-office) and our office is situated in Holly Springs, NC.
