- Develops expert level technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures. Provides interpretation to systems matters that are highly unique and very difficult in nature.
- Provides troubleshooting support for very unique and difficult hardware matters.
- Develops training methodology and materials for end user training on the proper use of hardware and software.
- Subject Matter Expert for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Expert advisor on the monitoring tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Leads personnel on workstation/server data integrity matters and the implementation of standard software and hardware solutions.
- Advises less experienced personnel on data/media recoverability following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Provides guidance to less experienced personal on hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Strategically develops performance and security plan for computer systems that meet the needs of network users. Advises on complex matters and may lead the work of less experienced personnel.
- Recognized subject matter expert in job area typically through advanced education and work experience. Establishes operational plans. Manage strategic projects that are large in scale with major impact. With influence from leadership, develop new standards, policies and procedures. Problems faced are very difficult and highly complex. Recognized as a thought leader with highly specialized knowledge. Work performed is critical to the organization. May lead the work of less-experienced professionals.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Workdays do not include working or conducting business on Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed closings.
