Psychiatrist, Inpatient Behavioral Health, Academic Appointment Seeking an experienced BC/BE Psychiatrist for an acute inpatient psychiatry role.

The Psychiatrist is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, clinically effective psychiatric care to adults. Staff Psychiatrists have medical/clinical authority and responsibility for admitting, patient care, and discharge of patients admitted to the unit.

Responsible for medical administration and, in some cases, supervision of APRNs, implementing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services in collaboration with the Medical Director.

Psychiatrist will carry a maximum caseload of 12 patients. Average patient LOS, 8 – 10days.

Academic appointment at UMASS Medical School students and/or University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine commensurate with teaching roles are possible.
