- Job Title: Records Clerk/Law Clerk
- Location: Washington-DC (Onsite)
- Duration: 3+ months contract
- Pay Range: $17-$19/hr on w2
- Professional office experience, preferably in a law firm
- Computer skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job (lifting boxes, organizing file rooms, pushing carts)
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Records Room
- Collaborate with other records and information staff to maintain records management systems effectively
- Database management and maintenance for accurate documentation and storage of records
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend process improvements
- Ensure compliance with records management policies and practices
- Communicate with departments regarding records maintenance, creation, and retrieval
- Generate record management reports
- Assist with training others on records management processes
- Perform additional tasks like photocopying, faxing, and scanning
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college education preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional office environment as a file or records clerk
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous experience in a client service-oriented field is advantageous
- Openness to learning new skills
