- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
- Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
- Successful completion of the bar exam

Compensation:$55,000 yearly minimum DOE
Responsibilities:The firm has been one of the premier law offices in Kitsap County for many years. Our community has voted the managing partner as the best attorney in Kitsap County and has been voted by the community to be the number one law firm in Kitsap County for five years in a row. The firm provides public defense services for the City of Port Orchard, and the City of Bremerton, along with representation for therapeutic courts in Kitsap County. Additionally, there are opportunities to gain skills in the firm's personal injury practice. It is a job opening that will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to work with experienced lawyers, gain trial experience, and develop skills that will be valuable tools for a successful career as a trial attorney.
