    The Williamsport Area School District has exciting opportunities available for Part-Time, Full-Time, and substitute Instructional Support Aide roles. Take a look at the job description and requirements below:


    • Competitive wages determined by the Collective Bargaining Unit
    • Current Substitute Aide pay: $12/hour
    • Part-time Aide pay rate: $16.25 to $17.53 per hour

    All positions within the WASD require a minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION


    Basic Functions:


    This position involves assisting teachers in providing instructional services to students, including those with special needs. Responsibilities may vary from classroom assistance to specialized areas such as computer labs or study halls.


    Education & Experience:


    Requirements include academic qualifications, experience working with students, and a desire to support those with diverse needs. Medical credentials are necessary for certain roles.

    Authority & Responsibilities:


    1. Assist students with educational needs
    2. Prepare instructional materials
    3. Supervise designated areas
    4. Provide personal care to students with disabilities
    5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders
    6. Maintain confidentiality

    Physical Requirements:


    This role involves heavy lifting and movement of objects.


    Auditory and Visual Requirements:


    Normal auditory and visual abilities are necessary for this role.


    Equipment Used:


    Office equipment including computers, copiers, and telephones will be utilized.
