Service Provider and Edge (SEBU) business unit enables the worldwide ecosystem of Communications Service Providers (CSP) to transform their networks into flexible, agile, and programmable environments through Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and SDN.As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing highly talented R&D team developing software for Telco Cloud Platform.

The telco cloud will be a highly distributed, nationwide multi-cloud system that will enable telcos to deploy 5G networks and edge cloud services as software applications on top and thus transform telco legacy infrastructure into modern, agile cloud-scale systems.

Success in the Role:

What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within the first 3 months of employment, you'll be expected toUnderstand existing processes, team dynamics and improvement areas.

Become familiar with the Telco Cloud Automation, and use-cases Establish communication with key Stakeholders in PM, service-platform (R&D) teams and customer facing services team.

Within the first 6 months of employment, you'll be expected to Have a good working knowledge of the Automation and Orchestration stack by utilizing your existing knowledge in micro-services framework, Kubernetes, Telco 5G standards, and programing languages used - Golang and Java.

Become familiar with our codebase in order to better understand the scope and complexities involved with automation projectsUnderstand the high level growth areas for the Product/SaaS offering and develop a strategy to achieve itSuccess FactorsExperience building and leading fast, agile teams - building management plane web applications, cloud services and telco products.

Thorough understanding of NFV, RAN, core software solutionsUnderstanding of both SaaS and on-prem deployments in terms of technologies, deployment, packaging, release strategies, and operations Knowledge of the latest technologies used in building software, particularly cloud-native applications

The Work:

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a senior manager of Telco R&D, you will be:Managing and mentoring a team of developers in Telco Cloud Automation group to build cloud native micro-services required for Telco automation and orchestrationIdentifying & implementing potential improvements in micro-services and tools to optimize developer productivity Participating & leading in planning discussions on new features and tasks for upcoming sprints/releases.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $139,000 - $331,000.

The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
