    Introduction

    The Loudoun County Office of Mapping and Geographic Information is seeking a talented and motivated individual for the position of GIS Analyst II.

    This position will support ETL processes, systems integrations, and data maintenance operations for the GIS Land Records Division.

    This Division is responsible for maintenance and distribution of the County's core land records data sets including Parcels, Addresses, Street Centerline and Routing networks.


    The successful candidate will be able to produce custom analyses; provide technical support by researching and resolving GIS challenges; provide programming or scripting solutions to support tabular or geographic data extraction, manipulation, translation, analysis and QC; research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies; develop, implement, and maintain custom GIS applications; improve data and processes within the Enterprise GIS; monitor systems, data, and processes; and support ETL operations.

    Job Summary

    Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, this position supports County business needs by providing or assisting with GIS analysis, GIS development, or process automation, Supports GIS projects or assists with providing GIS solutions through research, testing, analysis, modeling, documentation, or maintenance of GIS applications or data.

    Maintains knowledge of GIS tools, data, capabilities. Provides support and technical training to County staff.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience in GIS development/programming/analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Preferred Knowledge & Abilities:
    Experience with Land Management Systems
    Experience developing or supporting ETL operations
    Local government experience such as in land development, transportation, community development or public safety.
