    Description


    SUMMARYThe Welder/Assembler position is responsible for MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts to create a tank to be mounted on a truck chassis.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Hand plasma cuttingFitting assemblies to weldTubing and fitting weldingConfined space welding, 30-45 minutes per task20-25% weld time for this positionWelding with quality and attention to cosmetic detail is a MUSTRead and understand BlueprintsWork Safely and Maintain clean and organized work areaOperate Miller and Lincoln welding equipmentOperate lifting equipmentOperate standard fabrication equipment such as horizontal saw, drill press, grinders.

    Operate plasma cutter, cutting torch, and hand sawsPerform quality checks on finished assembliesFabricate minor brackets as neededMust adhere to all company safety and operation policiesUse established construction techniques to build tanksJob QualificationsESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.

    Proven experience in conducting quality inspections.
    Strategic thinker and strong analytical skills.

    Good eye for detail and understand quality levels set for tank constructionAnalyze problems, detect root causes and resolve all issues.

    Excellent time management, planning, organization and prioritization skills.
    Self-motivator with solid interpersonal skills, achievement oriented.
    Be aware of Health and Safety standards and their implication in the workplace.
    PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

    Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of equivalent work experience welding similar materials using GTAW/GMAW process.
