    REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES
    The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Coordinator (Employment Coordinator) position in the Human Services Department's Family Success Administration Division.
    General Description:
    Performs administrative work assisting in the coordination and administration of business operations and functions.
    Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
    Requires an Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or closely related field.
    (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
    Requires four (4) years in staff administration, management, and organization or closely related experience including six (6) months lead work/supervisory experience depending on area of assignment.
    Special Certifications and Licenses:
    Must possess a valid Florida Class E Driver's License at time of appointment and must be able to obtain and maintain authorization to drive on County business.
    Preferences:
    *Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field
    *Experience in social services field
    *Certified Employment Support Professional (The Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE))
    *Certified Workforce Development Professional or similar certification (The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) )
    *Bilingual (English/Spanish; English/Creole)
    SCOPE OF WORK
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
    - Coordinate all aspects of the job placement and employment services for the Community Action Agency (CAA).
    - Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities that match participant strengths and goals.
    - Conduct outreach to businesses through cold calls, site visits, networking events, and community partners.
    - Provide job coaching, employability training and related workshops, work experience opportunities, job placement services, and job retention support.
    -Maintain a case load and frequent contacts with customers.
    - Collect demographic and other customer related data, track progress and submit information requested/required for performance reporting.
    -Maintain case files in accordance with program requirements.
    - Identify potential community partners and connect customers to needed and available resources.
    -Collaborate with the local workforce agency to assist customers in accessing needed services.
    - Participate in and coordinate resource fairs, job fairs, and other events with community organizations and local businesses. -Participate in community outreach activities to promote awareness of agency programs and services.
    - Ability to use a variety of office software applications, including database, spreadsheet, and/or presentation applications to prepare a variety of documents, forms, and/or related materials.
    - Compose a variety of correspondence, notifications, forms, reports, and related documents in order to communicate information or requests to staff and/or the public.
    - Participate in administrative and staff meetings, case staffings and consultations.
    - Performs related work as assigned.
