- Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
- Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
- Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices
- Technicians shall be qualified to sustain the 100% Ao of each simulator and training device; to accomplish rapid restoration of simulators and training devices to FOC to minimize any negative effect upon training; to perform maintenance and supply support actions to ensure simulators and training devices achieve their full intended operational life; and to manage the MSP to achieve no degradation over the TO POP and all items are RFI on demand
- Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as a Simulator Technician
- Shall be a graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute, or complete factory/formal training on the devices named in the task order
