    This role is a member of the care team who provides rehabilitation care to the clients as requested by the client and, when required, as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the policies of the community.

    Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist:

    Provides or makes provision for client care in compliance with the American Occupational Therapy Association, physicians' orders, and Clinical Pathways as they become available.

    Ensures quality and safe delivery of therapy services to clients and training for families/caregivers.

    Assesses and evaluates client's status by reviewing and implementing the plan of care, regularly re-evaluating client needs revising the plan of care as necessary.

    Initiates and applies appropriate preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and techniques and maintains communication regarding client care with the physician and supervisory personnel.

    Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care. Assesses and provides client and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.

    Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

    Is a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

    Is registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Has at least two years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist. SNF/home care experience is preferred. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu and COVID-19 vaccine status.
