    Strategic Procurement/Supply Chain Executive

    OVERVIEW

    A fast-growing products manufacturing company in Odgen Utah Metropolitan area is seeking a top-performing Strategic Procurement Executive to be instrumental in shaping the company's future growth through developing and implementing optimal procurement/supply chain processes and success metrics to achieve operational excellence.
    • Compensation: Starts at: $170K+ (DOE) + bonus + benefits
    • Location: Davis County, Utah - Onsite
    • Note: Out-of-state candidates must relocate to Utah (paid by employer)
    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    To steer procurement and supply chain operations, and ensure the seamless management of products and suppliers across diverse product lines, you will:
    • Strategically oversee vendor management, including the development, negotiation, and maintenance of vendor programs and relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Lead comprehensive category reviews, vendor performance assessments, and foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enhance profitability and efficiency.
    • Direct the integration of supply chain management with other critical functions such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, and Quality Assurance, ensuring a cohesive operational strategy.
    • Innovate and implement advanced inventory control and replenishment strategies to optimize supply chain performance, including inventory turnover and waste reduction.
    • Develop and guide the execution of sourcing strategies for critical commodity groupings, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization projects, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators for the procurement function.
    • Champion the negotiation of agreements with critical suppliers, adapting to market shifts and supply chain demands to secure the best value.
    • Lead cross-functional collaborations to deeply understand internal procurement needs and ensure they are effectively addressed within the larger supply chain strategy.
    WHAT YOU WILL BRING
    • 10-15+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and management, with 5+ years in a manufacturing environment (preferably for a Fortune 500/1000 or similarly complex organizations)
    • 5+ years in a director-level role and additional years in manager role
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a proven track record in strategic planning and execution of procurement and supply chain initiatives.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a history of achieving significant cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, coupled with a high level of integrity and professional ethics.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with MRP/ERP systems.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
    • The flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a focus on achieving results.
    • A willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
