The Stanford Inn & Suites is seeking a personable, dependable, and guest-focused team member to join our front desk team. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in creating positive experiences for each and every guest.
This position requires open availability for all shifts, with a strong emphasis on overnight shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Candidates must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
2 Years of Hotel Experience Preferred, but not required for we take training our employees seriously so they are set for success If you take pride in your workplace and treat it as if it is your own business then this is the place for you
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
FRONT DESK AGENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Count cash drawer
- Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary.
- check in and check-out guests
- Answer the phones in a professional manner
- book reservations
- Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process
- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
- Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendation regarding shopping, dining or entertainment.
- Arrange tours, taxis reservations for customers
- Keep the lobby beverages stocked such as setting up coffee and tea supplies.
- Any task as assigned by management.
FRONT DESK AGENT NIGHT AUDIT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
- To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated into PMS system.
- Is able to function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures.
- Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
- Summarizes results of operations for management.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
- Prepare of End of day Reports.
- Follow the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist.
- Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Balance the day's charges, making corrections as necessary.
- Performs wake-up calls.
- Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
- Knows how to operate PMS, computers, and other front office equipment's.
- Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed
- Understand and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
- Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and, on a daily basis, summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records.
