Siteline Productions, a multimedia design and production
company, has been contracted by the Flying Leatherneck Historical
Foundation (FLHF), a 501c3 non-profit corporation, to design and
build the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum (FLAM). The Flying
Leatherneck Aviation Museum and the 40+ aircraft in its collection
are relocating from MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA back to its
original home at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, now called Great
Park in Irvine, CA. FLAM is the only museum in the world that is
solely dedicated to preserving the rich history of United States
Marine Corps aviation.
The Role
We are seeking a Development Associate to collaborate closely
with the museum's contracted strategic developer to help build and
grow the museum's presence through fundraising and engagement
efforts. Additionally, this role will provide essential
administrative and office support to the museum's management team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in nonprofits

Responsibilities:
Fundraising Campaign Development and Management:
● Collaborate closely with FLHF's contracted strategic
developers to conceptualize, execute, and manage a comprehensive
fundraising campaign.
● Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors,
sponsors, and partners, employing strategic approaches to secure
financial support.
● Plan and coordinate fundraising events, leveraging networking
opportunities and community engagement to maximize participation
and contributions.
● Monitor and evaluate fundraising progress through the museum's
donation platform, maintaining detailed records of donor
interactions, contributions, and pledges.
● Preparation of pledge reminders, adjusting pledge records as
needed. Administrative Support:
● Provide efficient and reliable administrative assistance to
the museum's management team, including calendar management,
meeting coordination and minutes, and document preparation.
● Handle correspondence, email communications, and phone
inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
● Maintain accurate records and databases related to donor
information, fundraising activities, and campaign logistics.
● Assist with general office tasks such as filing, copying, and
organizing documents to ensure smooth operational functioning.
Collaborative Engagement:
● Foster strong collaborative relationships with FLHF staff,
volunteers, and external stakeholders to facilitate cohesive
teamwork and synergy.
● Collaborate with the FLHF departmental staff to manage social
media content calendar based on project needs.
● Act as a liaison between the development team and other museum
departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment of
objectives.
● Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and
insights to enhance fundraising strategies and campaign
effectiveness. Professional Development:
● Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging
technologies in fundraising and nonprofit management through
continuous learning and professional development activities.
● Seek opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge
acquisition to further contribute to the success of FLHF's
fundraising and operational initiatives. Preferred
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit
management, fundraising, communications, business administration or
equivalent experience
● Previous experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit
administration is desirable.
● Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with
the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
● Proficiency with social media platforms and content
management
● Working knowledge of QuickBooks and general bookkeeping
● Strong written and verbal communication abilities, coupled
with keen attention to detail.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with
fundraising software or donor management systems is
advantageous.
● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a
team-oriented environment, as well as independently with minimal
supervision.
● A commitment to upholding ethical fundraising practices.
● Flexibility and adaptability to navigate evolving priorities
and challenges in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
The base pay for this position ranges from $75,000/year to
$90,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
