- 89-bed acute care teaching hospital with 1 CT room in the Imaging department
- Primary assignment in X-Ray with rotation into CT
- Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric cases
- Care areas include ED, outpatient, and inpatient
- Outpatient cases include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma
- Average of 25–30 scans per day
- Biopsies performed on-site (training provided, prior experience not required)
- Equipment includes a Siemens X.Cite and GE 16-slice PET CT (used as backup CT machine)
- EMR: Cerner | PACS: AGFA Enterprise Imaging
- Variable shifts across a 24/7 department — specific shift (days or nights) will vary based on departmental need
- Weekend rotation required based on departmental need
- No call required
- Holidays covered on a rotating basis with other techs
- Fixed location within CT — no floating required
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Orientation is 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level
- Team support includes a lead tech, radiologist on-site, and internal transport; 2 techs on weekdays and evenings, 1 tech on weekends
- Flu vaccination is required for clearance to start; medical exemptions only are accepted and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review
- RTO requires manager approval and must be submitted at time of consideration
- Scrub color should be any solid professional color; scrubs are available from the facility if needed

- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience (more experience preferred)
- Active BLS certification required
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- Maine state license or compact license required — ME license required if applicable
- Experience with CTA studies and general imaging studies required
- IV start skills preferred
- Experience with Toshiba, GE, or Siemens equipment preferred
- Biopsy experience preferred but not required
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
- Two references within the past year required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge (peer references not accepted)
