- A CAD Technician II performs advanced computer aided design (CAD) drafting. Has the ability to take a product from concept to production, including working with PM team for specifications, initial design, testing, package design, production documentation. A CAD Technician II communicates with a team to aid in the completion of projects. A CAD Support Technician II can program all necessary equipment with requires CAD files. The CAD Technician II works under the direction of the Director of Operations.
- Take a product, either new or custom request, from concept to production
- Work with PM team to create a list product specifications
- Create initial CAD design for review
- Create test report and do product testing
- Create product packaging plan and documentation
- Create all necessary documents for production team
- Work with vendors on new parts for new and existing products
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer with cost downs and efficiency projects
- Complete special projects as assigned
- 5+ years of Solid Works experience
- 5+ years of experience designing commercial fitness equipment
- Have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Previous use of Excel and Microsoft suite
- Experience programming Hypertherm plasma table files preferred
- Experience programming CNC router tables preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
