The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, Health located in Sacramento, California, seeks to fill a full-time Academic Plastic Surgeon position with a specialty in Hand Surgery.
The position is being recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Health Science Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series.
UC Davis is a large volume Level I Trauma Hospital with an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Level I Children's Surgical Center.
The candidate selected is expected to engage in the teaching and practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery with an emphasis on plastic surgery of the hand and upper extremities; with expertise in adult brachial plexus surgery as well as toe to finger transfer, including clinical care both inpatient and outpatient; microsurgery, and basic science/translational research trials relating to reconstructive surgery and clinical outcomes.
To provide complete multidisciplinary care, we collaborate with our colleagues in departments across UC Davis Health - including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Neurology, Radiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology and with our regional clinics - to provide the best available care to our referred patients.
