The Sr. Phlebotomy Technician assists the supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares staff schedule to provide adequate coverage and updates changes daily
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues with technicians etc.
  • Maintains drawing and POC testing carts/trays with necessary supplies
  • Sorts timed specimen requisitions and distribute them according to unit assignments as necessary
  • Obtain specimens requisitions draw blood or perform POC tests as needed
