Financial Analyst

This Financial Analyst role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and energized by working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will translate financial data into clear insights that support decision-making across our restaurants and support center.

You will partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership to strengthen forecasting accuracy, improve performance visibility, and support strategic initiatives across our portfolio.

What you will do

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Support the annual budgeting process, periodic re-forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Maintain and enhance forecasting models for sales, labor, COGS, operating expenses, and store-level profitability.
• Prepare detailed variance analyses and clearly communicate key business drivers and financial implications.
• Assist leadership in understanding trends and forecasting risks and opportunities.

Reporting & Performance Management

• Develop and manage weekly and monthly performance reporting packages for leadership.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
• Sales, transactions, average check
• Labor %, wage rate, hours, productivity
• COGS %, prime cost, contribution margin
• Store-level profitability and trend analysis
• Build executive-ready dashboards and presentations that turn data into actionable insights.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent reporting across all markets.

Restaurant-Level Analytics & Operational Support

• Analyze performance across markets, regions, and individual restaurants to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Operations to support performance improvement initiatives aligned with financial targets.
• Provide analytics on staffing efficiency, throughput, daypart performance, and channel mix (in-store, digital, delivery).
• Support new restaurant openings with financial modeling and ramp performance analysis.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Initiatives

• Conduct ad hoc analysis related to pricing strategy, promotions, menu mix, marketing ROI, and third-party delivery performance.
• Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for new initiatives and operational changes.
• Contribute to building scalable analytics infrastructure as the company grows.

Process Improvement & Data Integrity

• Improve reporting automation, workflows, and data accuracy.
• Strengthen documentation and standardization of financial processes.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between operational reporting and financial reporting.
• Support BI tool enhancements and data consolidation across systems.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, consulting, or multi-unit operations analytics (restaurant or retail experience strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis); experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to simplify complex data into clear recommendations.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise insights to stakeholders.

• Experience in multi-unit retail, restaurants, hospitality, or consumer-facing businesses (preferred)
• Familiarity with restaurant KPIs and operating models - labor matrix, prime cost, store contribution, throughput (preferred)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and/or SQL (preferred)
• Exposure to restaurant and workforce systems such as Toast, Paylocity, Harri, and/or Restaurant365 (preferred)
