- Will perform radar system engineering, design, analysis, on one or more of the following systems: Dual Band Radar (DBR), Ground Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR), AN/SPY-1, AN/SPY-6, Enhanced Coherent Data Collection System (ECDCS) or other sensor systems.
- Will perform systems engineering evolutions in support of radar programs to include: evolving specification requirements; assess technical architecture approaches, support test and evaluation efforts to evaluate radar system or hardware / software configuration items and component performance; support modeling and simulation efforts to assess architectures or operational performance
- Efforts may include performing complex calculations and knowledge application of principles necessary to assess advanced sensor concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
- Will develop engineering presentations, White Papers, system specifications, Point / Position Papers, Technical analysis and assessments and orally present technical concepts to staff and project leadership
- (a) A Bachelor's degree from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; plus Fifteen (15) years of professional engineering experience
- (b) A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Fifteen (15) years of professional engineering experience
- (c) A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Twelve (12) years of professional engineering experience
- (d) Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Eight (8) years of professional engineering experience
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance
- Five (5) years of experience in complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, and specification development
- Experience utilizing MATLAB to perform calculations and data analysis to assess radar performance
- Experience performing verification, validation and accreditation (VV&A) on radar models in support of Modeling and Simulation efforts
