    Facilities Technician II

    Location: Indianapolis IN 46268

    Schedule: Dayshift 7am – 3:30pm Mon- Fri.

    Salary $21/hr

    2 month contract

    Benefits: Health Insurance (Medical / Dental / Vision)

    In this role you will

    · Inspect, repair and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, buildings and work on plumbing, basic electrical repairs and upgrades, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.

    · Build partitions; make plaster or drywall repairs, and fix or paint on roofs, windows, doors, floors, and other parts of building structures.

    · Maintain and repair equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laboratories, offices, and the factory.

    · Typical duties may include troubleshooting and fixing faulty electrical switches, repairing and maintaining HVAC roof top units, lighting, and unclogging drains

    · Schedule, direct, and oversee outside contractors performing repairs or upgrades.

    · Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

    · Follow a checklist and standard work list - inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions as needed

    · Documentation -keep records of work performed

    · participate in mandatory company-provided safety and compliance training and training for working in various environments

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED - Required
    • HVAC Certification
    • Previous experience – Commercial HVAC – Required
    • Previous experience handling, installing, and fixing HVAC equipment
    • Ability to use hand and power tools -screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers, as well as some specialized equipment and electronic testing devices
    • Comfortable working with limited supervision
    • Skills to be successful - technical and mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, good judgement and decision making skills

    · Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics - good reading comprehension, and the ability to interpret service manuals and other written instructions

    · Ability to be flexible and adaptable

    · Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

    · The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
