    About the Job:

    A client of the Intersect is seeking to add a FP&A Analyst to their team. The company is privately owned and in the Telecom Solutioning Space. The ideal candidate will be a Data Guru, a Master of Excel, and have experience with Investment Banking.

    Formal Description:

    The FP&A Analyst is a highly visible and key role within the Corporate Finance/ FP&A team. This person will be involved in the financial planning, analysis and reporting for the organization while owning high-priority components of the finance function. The role will work hand in hand with the VP, Corporate Finance on developing, implementing and executing a holistic approach to providing financial support for the entire organization. Executing ad-hoc projects and ownership of various components of the financial reporting function are within this role's scope. The individual will be required to work cross-functionally to provide the leadership team and external stakeholders with financial insight and guidance. The Corporate Finance & FP&A team digs into trends, analyzes value-creating opportunities and assists the Corporate Development team with acquisition opportunity evaluation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Metrics and KPI Reporting: Create and maintain consolidated metrics and KPI reporting, analyzing trends and variances to goals.

    Projections and Reporting Models: Develop detailed reporting and projection models for financial planning, business development, and M&A activity.

    Financial Modeling: Build financial models crucial for financial planning, business development initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.

    Budgeting Process: Participate in the annual budgeting process by developing budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools.

    Management Reporting: Prepare monthly internal management reports, including segment growth and profitability analysis.

    Decision Support: Support senior management with timely and accurate information for effective decision-making.

    Board and Lender Materials: Assist in preparing board and lender materials.

    Data Analysis: Structure and process qualitative or quantitative data to draw insightful conclusions.

    Process Improvement: Lead reporting and process improvement initiatives while implementing best practices.

    Visibility and Productivity: Develop management reporting to enhance visibility and productivity within the organization.

    Corporate Finance Support: Support various Corporate Finance requirements and ad-hoc projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Education

    Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. An MBA and/or CPA is a strong plus.

    Experience

    Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive, well-rounded financial analysis experience. Previous experience in financial modeling and analysis within Investment Banking, Big 4, Financial Consulting, or Accounting firms is essential.

    SkillsMust have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, pivot tables, and macros. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required.
