Position Summary:
The School of Applied Engineering and Technology (SAET) of the Newark College of Engineering at NJIT invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Technology (CPT).
D. (or equivalent) degree, with a record of pertinent high-quality research in a related engineering field.
Essential Functions:
The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate CPT and Medical Informatics Technology (MIT) courses, demonstrate potential to establish strong industrial collaborations, and participate in the development of aligned software and medical device hardware at NJIT.
The candidate is also expected to engage in research, advise graduate students (MS and PhD), produce technical publications, and obtain grant funding consistent with having a joint appointment in an aligned engineering department.
Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Areas of research and academic interest of particular relevance include:
