    Summary:


    Dometic Marine's facility in Huntsville, AL specializes in mobile power solutions and manufactures engine ignition replacement parts, DC charging systems, and battery monitoring systems for boats.


    Accounting Supervisor responsibilities include:
    General Ledger, A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets and some Cost Accounting using Intuitive ERP system. Supervisory responsibility of the A/P & A/R clerk.


    Main responsibilities:

    • Ensure all time cards and PTO requests are approved by respective managers weekly and submit payroll adjustments to Payroll department.
    • Prepare and review journal entries.
    • Supervise Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk in the following duties:
    a. Match Receivers, P.O.'s and invoices for payment.

    b. Prepare A/P and expense check runs; reconcile vendor statements

    c. Post A/R payments received and prepare bank deposits for misc deposits at local bank.

    d. Answer customer calls and take credit card payments as necessary.


    • Reconcile bank balances with statements and report daily activity to Corporate Accounting.
    • Provide monthly cash forecast to Corporate Accounting.
    • Prepare sub-ledger account reconciliations to G/L Accounts.
    • Send out collection emails and research and resolve A/R and Customer Service issues.
    • Prepare analyses of G/L account balances and activities as needed.
    • Maintain commission tables in ERP system and monitor monthly reports for accuracy.
    • Assist Controller as required in analyzing and updating inventory and related costs.
    • Perform month-end closing processes.
    • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
    • Maintain fixed asset listing and calculate monthly depreciation for each asset.
    • Assist financial and other auditors as required.
    • Ability to lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects
    • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
    • Must be reliable and on time to work each day
    • Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Teams.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • Preferably five years of experience including A/R, A/P, Fixed Asset, and General Ledger
    • Preferably three years of supervisory experience
    • Must be able to read and write English

    Behavioral requirements:

    • Strong computer, analytical and communication skills
    • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasts
    • Experience with Intuitive ERP/MRP system or similar program
    • Knowledge and experience in a Manufacturing environment (electronics a plus)
    • Working knowledge of intercompany sales and profit elimination
    • Working with a Standard Cost Accounting system is a plus
    • Ability to safeguard sensitive data/information
