    Summary



    This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development OIG -Office of Information Technology. As aChief Information Officer, you will be successful when able to understand the business issues of OIG client offices and translate between those business needs and information technology solutions that can be implemented either within OIT or through outside fulfillment partners.



    Duties


    As a Chief Information Officer, you will:

    • Serve as Deputy to the Assistant Inspector General for Information Technology and will serve as the principal advisor to the Inspector General on matters pertaining to Information Technology and Information Security.
    • Be responsible for enabling efficient and effective communications and information sharing.
    • Assist with the management of all aspects of information technology strategic planning and evaluating core computing functions for management by HUD, government partners or private sector vendors. Duties involve planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating the full range of Division functions.
    • Assist with the coordination of services among division Directors to ensure effectiveness of purpose and efficient use of resources.
    • Conduct reviews for compliance founded on awareness of existing regulations and best practices. Manage IT procurement and federal contracting processes and procedures, including evaluation, selection, acquisition, and installation of IT hardware and software.
