Senior Software Engineer, Front End

We are looking for Front End Software Engineers enthusiastic about leveraging cutting-edge open source frameworks and emerging technologies. As a Software Engineer at Capital One, you will play a key role in driving a significant transformation within the organization.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with a skilled team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems
Engage in software development for Front End Applications using a test-driven development approach
Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems
Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, contribute to technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers
Work closely with digital product managers to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and Java, along with open source frameworks and RESTful web services for cross-browser and cross-device development

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience not considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java
1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
2+ years of experience in Agile practices
