Company: This job opportunity is with the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

Position: Psychology Program Manager

Summary:

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligibility requirements must be met, and the EDRP application must be submitted within four months of appointment. The program offers financial support up to $200,000 for a period of one to five years. Approval and eligibility are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of applications.

Duties:

Manage intensive services programs including inpatient, residential, and specialty treatment.
Oversee all psychological services within these programs.
Supervise clinical staff workload to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
Represent the Psychology Section in administrative committees and report on service effectiveness.
Coordinate with other programs to ensure smooth patient transitions.
Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and provide psychological diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Telework: Ad-hoc

Requirements:
Conditions of Employment:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Subject to various employment conditions including background checks and online onboarding.
Participation in influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs is mandatory for health care personnel.

Qualifications:
Basic requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a doctoral degree in psychology, completion of an accredited internship, and a current license to practice psychology.

Grade Determination: GS-14 Experience - Minimum three years as a professional psychologist with specific skills and abilities required for the role.

Education: A transcript must be submitted for educational qualifications recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
