    DTLR is hiring for a Senior Accountant.

    The Senior Accountant holds responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information and analyzing and interpreting the information detailing assets, liabilities and capital to ensure that company leadership has accurate information to make sound business decisions by performing the following main duties:

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Ownership of reconciliations on more complex general ledger accounts with minimal supervision.
    • Prepares, enters journal entries and reviews and validates journal entries prepared by others.
    • Researches and corrects account discrepancies; identifies gaps and solutions to enhance accuracy moving forward.
    • Participates in month end closing activities and performs year-end audit work.
    • Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, and obligations incurred to recommend financial opportunities.
    • Assist in the preparation of the income statement and balance sheet. Participate in the reporting of results to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, and variances to assumptions from underlying budget forecasts.
    • Performs various accounting/analytical projects assigned by management.
    • Takes a leadership role on the accounting team, inclusive of accountability for coaching, developing and mentoring team members, leading key accounting projects, driving key financial decision making, and contributing toward general finance strategy, in partnership with Finance leadership.
    • Additional duties and projects as required.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • 4 - 6 years of accounting experience required. Public/Private mix is a plus.
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting is required.
    • Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills and can navigate finance systems.
    • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel required.
    • Experience with SOX is also required and exposure to IFRS is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Retail Accounting, ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage FAS, Concur, ReconNet/TrinTech are a plus.
    • Knowledge of capital expenditure accounting and reporting, balance sheet, income statement, and other financial reports is required.

Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of normal job scope on a temporary basis per the company policy. Pay range: $85,000 - $95,000 (Depending on Experience).This role will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, parental leave, and company paid time off plan.
