Job Summary
In this position, the candidate will provide variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations for patients requiring medically administered medications prescribed within UK Healthcare.
- Serving as primary liaison between UK Specialty Pharmacy and UK's infusion centers;
- Ensuring safe, effective cost-efficient medication therapy implemented for all patients in their care monitoring care appropriately;
- Facilitating formulary review process for infused medications;
- Participating in appropriate hospital departmental committees relevant to practice area;
- Assuming responsibility supervising PharmD students technicians undergraduate graduate student teachers providing educational programs hospital staff establishing safe practices infusion therapy handling collaborating communicating multidisciplinary team members involved providing services patients.
