    Job Title: Business Developer
    Summary:
    The Business Developer plays a key role in supporting business development and client retention within a designated geographical region. This role works closely with the Sales Manager and Branch Manager to generate new business and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Freight forwarding experience is required.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Arrange and coordinate schedules and appointments with new customers.
    • Support the team's efforts to generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals, including cold-calling and scheduling appointments.
    • Manage business development within assigned areas, generating and developing new opportunities.
    • Support activities to nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients within assigned areas.
    • Serve as a liaison between client companies and operations staff.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to track work progress.
    • Organize and maintain the file system.
    • Participate in business and trade events to stay informed about industry trends, products, and opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the local competition and prevailing industry conditions.
    • Promote company-endorsed programs and services within the assigned territory.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements, as needed.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
    Education and Experience Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
    • 3+ years of related experience or equivalent.
    Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
    • Acute attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Sound judgment and the ability to make timely, well-informed decisions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
