The Bodacious Bookstore and Café is looking for baristas who love books A Bodacious Bookstore/Café team member will contribute to the success of the store by sharing their knowledge of books, coffee, and community, all while selling Bodacious products and preparing specialty drinks. They will relate easily to others to build rapport and collaborative relationships with customers and staff. The team member will acknowledge, greet, and effectively listen to customers to ensure prompt and courteous service. We believe our baristas can be the brightest moment in a customer's day. A day in the life of....

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients

Requirements

Required Experience

Good news No previous experience is required. We believe that if we hire someone with strong work-ethic, a great personality and a desire to learn, we can teach you what you need to know to be a great Barista.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.

Physical Demands

The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, bending, stooping, able to lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
• Well-organized and detail-oriented with all guest services
• Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 lbs.) on a regular basis
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Excellent communication skills

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
