    Job Description:

    Job Summary:


    The IT Business Development Project Manager will serve as the project team lead for all new technology proposals within the Qualification Phase of the project management lifecycle.

    This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Resource and Solutions Management and will provide support to all areas of the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization while also being responsible for guiding strategic IT investments for the IT Steering Committee - an executive committee led by the CIO and supported by various business executives.

    This role will actively partner with the business and IT leadership to develop 'Run Books' - a business case artifact necessary to promote out of the 'Qualification Phase' of the project management lifecycle (PMLC).

    The IT Business Development Project Manager works across the ITS organization and is not limited to with whom they interact.

    Additionally, this role will also provide business analysis support to ensure success of the IT proposal as needed. May lead small to medium projects as requested.

    Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:


    Works with business stakeholders and project sponsor during the 'Qualifications and Initiate' phases to achieve a high-level understanding of the project work being requested.

    Creates, analyze & deliver project proposals to ensure appropriate resources, time, funding and other requirements are understood for successful delivery, utilizing internal and third-party resources as most appropriate.

    Participates in resource planning with other PMs (vendors and business) and management to get resources assigned to program tasks.
    Assess proposals and provide general business analysis support in terms of workflow and proposal clarification.

    Acts as point of contact for communication between the business leaders and IT leadership for all technology investments during the 'Qualification Phase' of the project management lifecycle.

    This phase encompasses the business case development and integration of all technology investment proposals.
    Manages the process and be the point of contact for the IT Steering Committee. This role will be responsible for assigning tasks to the IT and business teams.

    Acts as focal for conducting process evaluations and implementing process improvements in coordination with the business and IT leadership team.

    Facilitates regular communication with IT leadership team including development and execution of a communication plan.
    Facilitates weekly status meetings for the duration of the investment engagement.
    Leads team on small to medium projects through the entire project life cycle.
    Prepares the project schedule and all required project planning documents.

    This includes preparing and adhering to standard project management lifecycle (PMLC), preparing risk analysis and adjusting the schedule to account for risk in the project baseline.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or related field.
    5 plus years progressive experience in leading the deployment of medium to large scale projects.

    OR

    9 plus years with a combination of education, training, and experience in leading the deployment of medium to large scale projects.

    Preferred

    Qualifications:


    10 plus years of project management experience and/or 5 plus years program management experience in enterprise environments, including the management of communications, budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, change requests, and quality.

    Experience in estimating, forecasting, financial management and business case development.
    PMI certification/training.
    Experience leading in a matrix environment.
    Experience leading projects that support the Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Procurement and/or Legal business units.
    Experience in general business analysis.
