    Travel Nurse PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Norfolk, Virginia

    We are seeking a travel nurse RN with 1-2 years recent acute care experience to work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

    Job Requirements and Description

    • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit

    • Shift: 12 hours
    • Employment Type: Travel

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. The candidate should also be able to easily lift 20 pounds, and moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.

    The PCU Travel Nurse will provide basic bedside care, stabilize critical cardiac patients, change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, prepare and administer prescribed medication, and monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients.

    The successful candidate will possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

    American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification, as well as 2 years of recent acute care experience are required.

    About This Assignment

    This assignment offers a guaranteed pay package based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
